Internet choir sounds surprisingly good

This recording was done through the internet, with 185 people in front of their webcamera singing the same song (though not simultaneously, I imagine). Beautiful!

Oh so seriously cool and scary!

Right. So, here in Europe, we kind of consider Americans to be strange and eccentric. If any strange something something is done somewhere, there’s a good chance that that somewhere is somewhere in the US. OR JAPAN! Seriously, woohoo! How disturbingly cool is this monster statue? If I was eight again, I’d die of pride if I lived near this collossus. The “Gundam”, a 30th anniversary celebration of the Japanese game franchise is 18 meters tall and can move its head. It has fifty light points set at different spots, and it has mist coming out from 14 different holes. And, and, and! Now it’s going to be fitted with a light sabre! It owns!gundam-laser

Pie vs cake: a scientific approach

Over at hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com an attempt is made to determine what’s generally the better: pie or cake. Although I disagree with their findings, I found the science report funny and interesting. Read the full report here.

Swedish electronica heroes Slagsmålsklubben (trans. “the fight club”) presents their easy-to-understand schematic of the old European tale of naive Red Riding Hood’s unfortunate encounter with the wolf. Also, a VW bus.

Remi Gaillard’s astronaut prank plus more

Remi Gaillard is a very good footballer (judging from these clips), but is first and foremost known as a silly French sod who occationally makes people laugh. Me, I find many of his pranks to be a bit over-the-top, and sometimes too dangerous for a good laugh. But the astronaut? Got to admire stuff like that. Also, this, this, this and this.
